This top Democrat just asked the Supreme Court to kick Donald Trump off the ballot

Democrats are the ones attacking democracy.

The left is determined to keep Donald Trump out of the White House by any means necessary.

And now this top Democrat just asked the Supreme Court to kick Donald Trump off the ballot.

Democrats continue to prove that there is a coordinated and partisan plot among Democrat judges, elected officials and bureaucrats to effectively cancel the 2024 Presidential Election.

Date set for looming SCOTUS ballot showdown

On February 8, the Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments in Donald Trump’s appeal of a decision handed down by four Democrat judges on the Colorado State Supreme Court that he led an insurrection on January 6 and thus was ineligible to appear on the state’s March 5 primary ballot.

Colorado’s Democrat Secretary of State Jena Griswold filed an amicus brief asking the Supreme Court to bar Trump from the ballot.

“Over the decades, Colorado has repeatedly relied on this state court procedure to resolve ballot access and other election disputes presenting novel and complex issues of both fact and law, including issues of constitutional magnitude,” Griswold argued.

The motion claimed Colorado “should not be forced to include a candidate found by its courts to have violated his oath to support the Constitution by engaging in insurrection.”

Donald Trump’s never been charged with insurrection.

The judges in Colorado took it upon themselves to come to this conclusion and denied Donald Trump due process to defend himself.

A dangerous view

Democrats claim Section 3 of the 14th Amendment – which bans anyone who engages in insurrection or rebellion – is self-executing.

But Section 5 of the 14th Amendment leaves all enforcement up to Congress.

Griswold’s amicus brief and the Colorado State Supreme Court’s initial ruling highlight why this crackpot belief that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment is self-executing, is so dangerous.

Under Griswold and the Colorado State Supreme Court’s interpretation of the law, election officials can boot candidates off the ballot for whatever reason they want by declaring them insurrectionists.

If the Supreme Court upholds the Colorado State Supreme Court decision, Republican states of Missouri, Texas, and Florida will seek to remove Biden’s name, arguing opening the southern border constituted an act of insurrection.

Americans need to have confidence in elections.

One surefire way to destroy faith in the democratic process is for election officials like Griswold to make it clear to voters that they serve the political interests of one party.

And that’s exactly what Griswold is doing with her baseless claim that Trump should be kicked off the ballot because he’s an insurrectionist.
