Going against the woke left-wing grain is never a good strategy for advancing one’s career in Hollywood.

Nevertheless this Hollywood actor admitted to being a Trump supporter during a recent interview.

But it’s what happened next that has conservatives furious.

One of Hollywood’s few open Trump supporters

With Paramount+ set to release a reboot of the hit sitcom Frasier, the show’s star, Kelsey Grammer, has been making the typical media rounds to promote the show.

Nearly 40 years after he first brought the character of Dr. Frasier Crane to life in the legendary sitcom Cheers, and nearly 20 years after the subsequent spinoff titled after his character went off air, the 68-year-old actor has set out to prove to himself and critics that the show will still resonate with audiences today.

“I wanted to prove to myself and to other people, of course, that Frasier was still interesting and still watchable and still funny,” Grammer recently told Fox News. “Those were important parts of it. But also, I thought there were more stories to tell about this character because there’s more stories to tell in our own lives.”

But while Frasier fans have undoubtedly been giddy over the show’s return, it’s an interview Grammer did with the BBC to promote the show that is garnering the most attention.

The BBC’s Justin Webb sat down with the actor to talk about the show’s return, but true to form for every self-proclaimed “journalist” hack, eventually pivoted the conversation to politics and Grammer’s previous support for former President Donald Trump.

“You mentioned Roseanne early on, who had a great comeback, but also was a Trump supporter,” Webb said to Grammer. “You were – at least you were a Trump supporter – I’m fascinated to know if you still are?”

According to the BBC’s article on the interview, Grammar simply responded, “I am, and that’s about all, let that be the end of it.”

Of course, the idea that Grammer responded that he was still a Trump supporter while saying he didn’t want to talk about it further isn’t shocking – most every conservative in Hollywood has to try to avoid political conversations out of fear of retaliation and blackballing.

But what did leave many conservatives enraged was the fact that Webb later told a BBC radio audience that much more actually happened after he asked Grammer the question.

Per a report from Fox News, Webb recounted that Grammer was “perfectly happy” to speak further and answer questions about his support for the former President, but was cut off by “Paramount+ PR people” who were “less happy that he talk about it.”

“But I should stress that [Grammer] was actually perfectly happy to talk about why he supports Donald Trump and still does in the coming election,” Webb said.

Unsurprisingly, Fox News reported that representatives of Paramount+ did not respond to the outlet’s request for comment on Webb’s allegation and the interview itself.

It would undoubtedly be a welcome reprieve for Americans if celebrities were universally stopped from speaking publicly about their political opinions.

But the fact that it seems to be only those who disagree with Democrats’ woke agenda who are routinely forced into silence doesn’t sit well with any freedom-loving Americans.

And this episode involving Kelsey Grammer is just further proof that the supposed “tolerance” of woke left-wing radicals simply doesn’t exist.
