MSNBC was stunned when a foreign politician made this confession about Donald Trump

Democrats are convinced that the entire world despises and fears Donald Trump like they do.

But the former President’s common sense resonates further than they thought.

And MSNBC was stunned when a foreign politician made this confession about Donald Trump.

Former President Donald Trump became a lightning rod for Democrats and their globalist allies for his foreign policy of putting America first.

MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell got the surprise of her life when she interviewed a Polish politician about Trump’s America First foreign policy.

MSNBC tries to get Polish politician to trash Donald Trump

Mitchell tried to set up Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski for an easy opportunity to trash Trump during a recent interview.

Democrats lost their minds when he said at a campaign rally in South Carolina that North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) members need to hit their defense spending targets.

“What would you say to Donald Trump, who actually said that he would encourage Putin to go into NATO countries who don’t pay their fair share,” Mitchell asked.

Sikorski was teed up to attack Trump but his answer stunned Mitchell.

“Well, we hope that’s just flowery rhetoric,” Sikorski replied. “He’s right that we should be spending more in Europe. Poland is spending well over 3% of GDP [gross domestic product] on defense and we’ve placed $50 billion worth of defense, orders in the United States.”

The Polish Foreign Minister shocked MSNBC and its minuscule audience by proclaiming that Trump is right on live television.

Trump tells NATO to pay

Wealthy Western European countries like Germany, Denmark, and Belgium have long shirked their defense spending requirements under NATO.

NATO members have an agreed upon target of spending at least 2% of their GDP on defense.

Only 35% of NATO members are hitting their defense spending targets.

Trump created a political firestorm when he told a crowd at his South Carolina campaign rally that NATO members needed to pay their bills.

“‘You didn’t pay? You’re delinquent?’” Trump said. “‘No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You gotta pay. You gotta pay your bills.’”

Democrats and their media allies melted down when Trump said this and falsely claimed that he was encouraging Russia to invade NATO members.

Trump was saying that in jest as part of his strategy to pressure NATO members to pay for their fair share of the organization’s collective defense.

European countries claim to be worried about the threat of Russia but their defense spending doesn’t back that up.

They’re more than happy to let the U.S. pick up the tab for their security.

Trump’s hardball negotiating tactics with NATO worked during his Presidency and members ramped up their defense spending while he was in office.
