Fulton County DA Fani Willis made one huge mistake that could land her in jail

Fulton County Democrat prosecutor Fani Willis made a huge blunder in her witch hunt against Donald Trump.

She crossed a bright red line with an alleged improper relationship.

And Fulton County DA Fani Willis made one huge mistake that could land her in jail.

The scandal involving Fulton County Democrat District Attorney Fani Willis and her alleged lover Nathan Wade took another shocking twist.

Willis hired Wade one day after he filed for divorce to serve as a special prosecutor on her case against former President Donald Trump despite him being completely unqualified for the job.

Wade was paid more than $600,000 for his work on the Trump case and is accused of using that money to pay for expensive vacations with Willis.

Bank statements from Wade’s divorce proceedings showed he purchased a plane ticket in Willis’ name.

Now Willis is in hot water for failing to report that ticket on her legally required financial disclosure forms.

The Daily Caller News Foundation obtained a copy of her 2022 Income and Financial Disclosure Report which doesn’t list any gift from a “prohibited source.”

The disclosure form requires that she report any gift above $100 from anyone deemed a “prohibited source,” which would include someone “doing business with the county.”

The Fulton County Code of Ethics requires that all elected officials fill out a disclosure form.

The bank statements revealed that Wade paid for a $477 plane ticket to Miami, Florida in Willis’ name on October 4, 2022.

That same day he bought the ticket he made payments of $1,284 and $1,387 to Royal Caribbean cruises.

The pair allegedly took a cruise together.

Ethics experts said that an investigation should be opened after she didn’t report the plane ticket on her disclosure form.

Former chief White House ethics lawyer Richard Painter – who worked for former President George W. Bush – told the Daily Caller that Willis made a mistake in not reporting the ticket.

“The bottom line is, that’s why we have these forms,” Painter said. “She needs to give an explanation as to why it wasn’t on the form.”

Painter added that disclosure forms reveal “exactly these kinds of conflicts of interest.”

Any intentional violation of the ethics code such as “the furnishing of false or misleading information to the board of ethics” could result in a $1,000 fine and a public reprimand.

Atlanta attorney Courtney Kramer said if Willis intentionally lied on her disclosure form, she faces “potential for criminal liability.”

Atlanta criminal defense attorney Philip Holloway said that the disclosure form adds to the laundry list of actions that Willis needs to explain to the public.

“If a senior Fulton County official accepts prohibited gifts from a contractor who does business with Fulton County or who hopes to in the future, not only is it wrong to accept such a gift, it is of course wrong to fail to disclose it on the required financial disclosure forms,” Holloway said. “This ethics rule is designed to prevent kickbacks.”

Fani Willis will have to face the music over not disclosing the plane ticket her alleged boyfriend bought her.
